Sorry for the ridiculously long title with too much information, but I wanted to write a quick post how Alexa Chung is dictating a lot of the trends this season.  First, let’s start with hair.

I resolve to give my flat iron a break.  Alexa’s hair has great texture, it’s a little unkempt, and it’s easy.  I don’t know if I’m brave enough to chop my hair, but any length of hair can achieve this by either letting hair dry naturally, or by only straightening a few pieces of hair.

Now, for Alexa’s style.

I resolve to dress like a boy.  Well, a boy with a girly touch.  I love how she has a tomboy-ish style, but she mixes it with feminine pieces, which gives her an instant cool factor.  I guess it’s also pretty neat when a designer makes a bag in honor of you (the above bag was made by Mulberry and inspired by Chung).

A dress AND sneakers?  Genius!
